Arclight Die Quacksalber von Quedlinburg Das Duell Board Game

This is a two-player adaptation of Quacksalver, winner of the 2018 German Game of the Year Award in the Expert category.

By making good use of the nine colored medicinal ingredients, players aim to treat more patients than their opponent by using a tug-of-war system to lure patients to their own tents, and sometimes using effects that directly affect the opponent.

In each round, players "bag-build" their own medicine bag, then randomly draw medicinal ingredients (chips) from it to "make medicine."

However, if players draw too many risky medicinal ingredients, there is a risk that the medicine bottle will burst.
The element of a chicken race to see whether or not it will burst determines the outcome of the game.

The most fun and exciting part of the duels in this game is the decision of whether to let the patient proceed safely, or to take the risks and send them to the goal in one go.
