Since the release of the first game in 1986 on the Family Computer™ Disk System, the "The Legend of Zelda" series has continued to be cherished by many fans for over 35 years. This soundtrack releases depict the birth of the Master Sword and explores the "origins" of the world of Zelda. "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" was launched on November 23, 2011, for Wii™, and a remade version was released on July 16 of this year for Nintendo Switch™.

The music that adorns this grand game world, traversing sky and land, has been extremely popular since the Wii version and is now available on CD. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Wii version, the soundtrack will be released in CD format with 187 tracks (planned), spread over 5 discs. Two items are being released simultaneously: a "First Limited Production Edition" that includes an original music box playing the main theme "The Goddess's Song" and a standard edition.
