A remote island located just south of Honshu.

After climbing the endless stone steps that start at the base of the hilly island, one reaches a hilltop with a view that stretches to the town below and the sea beyond. At the top of this hill stands the school where the main characters attend.

However, the number of students has gradually decreased, as a large company's factory, which accounts for the majority of the island's industry, is set to close next year.

On another hill on the island stands a dormitory, converted from the school's old building. Due to the declining number of dormitory residents, only the protagonist and the heroines now live there.
