In a city somewhere in modern-day Japan, the protagonist "Ichigo" is drugged, holstered, and taken to a certain location.

When she wakes up, she finds herself in a place that normal people cannot enter, "Cafe Tsukikage", a cafe where people who do illegal business congregate.

Because he exists in the underworld, even the owner and waiter of the cafe are contract killers.

As Ichigo becomes suspicious, the owner of Cafe Tsukimi explains that he accepted a certain request.

"This request is not a contract to kill, it is to protect you. That is why we have brought you here. Once we accept this request, we will certainly protect you."

Due to some past trauma, Ichigo lost her voice, and with no parents or a place to go, she half-accepted a job as a waitress at the cafe.
