Order preparation and dispatch

All orders are prepared on average within 7 working days of receipt of payment. This time may be extended during peak periods, promotions, special events, public holidays or exceptional situations (health crisis, etc.). We guarantee that every order will be handled with the utmost care.

We ship directly from Japan, via the Japanese postal service (Japan Post), using the following methods:

- Airmail

- Surface Mail

- EMS (Express)

A tracking number is given to the customer upon shipment. Japanzon does not deliver to relay points.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs include :

- secure packaging of products,

- handling,

- postal charges.

They may vary according to the weight, value or destination of the order. Two separate orders cannot be grouped together: shipping charges apply to each.

Each parcel is prepared with care, including for fragile products, and may be slightly oversized to guarantee optimum protection during transport.

Responsibilities and risks

As soon as the package is handed over to Japan Post, responsibility for transportation passes to the customer. Japanzon does not intervene in the management of transport after dispatch and cannot be held responsible in the event of delay, loss or logistical incident beyond its control.

We do, of course, provide all the documents required for the shipping process to run smoothly (customs form, proof of shipment, etc.).

Import and customs fees

When you order from abroad, you are considered an importer of record. As such, you are responsible for:

- customs duties,

- local VAT,

- and any handling charges imposed by your country.

Since July 1, 2021, the European Union applies VAT to all imports, without exception. Japanzon is not responsible for these charges, which are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

As a rough guide, taxes generally represent around 20% of the value of the package (products + delivery), with any handling fees added.

Refusal or non-return of parcel

If a parcel is refused by the customer or not claimed in time, it may be returned to Japan. In this case :

- The customer may be billed for the cost of returning the parcel, particularly if postal charges are levied.

- Only the amount of the products (excluding shipping costs) may be reimbursed in the form of a voucher, provided the package is returned in good condition.

- In the event of a return due to an error by Japanzon (e.g.: address incorrectly entered by us), reshipment is free of charge.

Customs and confidentiality

Customs policies vary widely from country to country. To find out more about the rules that apply in your country, we recommend that you contact your local customs office.

Please note that packages may be opened and inspected by customs authorities. Japanzon has no control over this process and declines all responsibility for its possible consequences.
